This is a unique opportunity to be trained in-house and become a fully qualified Systems Maintainer (note: spelling was corrected from "Systems Maintaine" to "Systems Maintainer"). At Aurizon, we understand our environment is unique and obtaining the qualifications for our jobs is best gained by getting that experience firsthand, from skilled Aurizon staff and on the job training.
In this 18‐month trainee role, you will develop technical and safety skills within our Network Signalling teams that will see you build a solid foundation and obtain nationally recognised qualifications as you are mentored by leaders in the field and supported by our Training department.
These are permanent roles, working an 8 on, 6 off roster. Transition to a qualified Systems Maintainer role is dependent on successful completion of the course work, practical application and business requirements.
Salary for this role is $69K + Super, with the opportunity to substantially increase your earnings as you become a fully qualified Systems Maintainer!
These are residential positions. FIFO/ DIDO will not be considered due to our fatigue management policies
What are we looking for?
* Fantastic attitude and a strong commitment to safety
* Ability to travel is a must and previous experience in the rail industry is a definite advantage!
* You must want to work in the outdoors in all weather and be able to work as part of a small team.
To be successful in this role you need to complete testing, a medical, reference checks and hold a C‐Class QLD Manual drivers' licence or minimum P2 (preferred).
