The Opportunity
Following a period of sustained, team‐driven growth, Eye Lighting is seeking to appoint two Senior Business Development Managers to support the next phase of the company's expansion, including the introduction of its new IECEx hazardous‐area range to the market.
This is a senior, new‐business role offering a high degree of autonomy. The successful candidate will assume end‐to‐end responsibility for their territory: developing a qualified pipeline, securing project work, and establishing the long‐term relationships that position Eye Lighting as a preferred supplier across the council, mining, oil and gas, industrial, infrastructure sectors.
As a senior representative of the business in the field, the appointee will be entrusted with converting market opportunity into profitable revenue while maintaining sound commercial discipline.
Role Overview & Primary Objectives
In this senior territory management role, you will drive business growth by identifying new opportunities and introducing Eye Lighting's new IECEx hazardous‐area range to the oil, gas, and resources sectors. Managing the full sales cycle independently, you will engage directly with mine operators, electrical contractors, and industrial end‐users to build a broad, resilient pipeline. Your performance will be measured by your sales revenue, gross‐margin success, forecasting accuracy, and ability to convert new accounts, with early onboarding focused on mapping priority accounts and establishing key wholesaler relationships.
Key Responsibilities
You will establish robust relationships with wholesalers, engineers, and consultants, representing the Company at site visits and industry events to strengthen market reputation. Working closely with internal technical teams, you will develop cost‐effective lighting solutions and lead high‐value project tenders that emphasize product reliability and whole‐of‐life value.
The ideal candidate possesses at least five years of B2B sales experience within the electrical, lighting, or industrial sectors, alongside a proven track record of selling into complex, multi‐stakeholder environments. An established network of Queensland contractors and familiarity with IECEx compliance or large‐scale specification project sales is highly regarded. In return, Eye Lighting offers a highly autonomous role with direct visibility to company leadership, robust internal support, and a competitive remuneration package.
