Overview
South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS) is one of the fastest growing health services in Western Australia, comprising Rockingham General Hospital and Murray District Hospital, plus community and mental health services across the Peel region. SMHS offers high‐quality medical, surgical, mental health and outpatient care.
Position
We are seeking Clinical Nurses for fixed term or permanent appointments at varied hours per fortnight, with the possibility of extension and/or permanency. Four FTE positions are available. No sponsorship will be provided; applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents.
Responsibilities
As a member of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide clinical and professional expertise to deliver comprehensive evidence‐based nursing care to patients. Key responsibilities include:
* Driving patient safety and quality of care
* Practicing within scope and following the Nursing and Midwifery Board's Nursing Practice Decision Flowchart
Qualifications & Requirements
Required:
* Valid registration with AHPRA
* Relevant nursing qualifications and experience
* Knowledge of clinical nursing practices and patient safety standards
Additional requirements:
* Valid working visa (for fixed term) or Australian citizenship / permanent residency (for permanent)
* Successful completion of criminal records screening and integrity check; possibly a Working With Children check and pre‐employment health assessment
