A new senior role within the Engineering and Sustainment Services group, the Project Planning and Controls Manager will manage the CSI‐IPT Enterprise Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and implement Earned Value Management (EVM) across a portfolio of Tasking Statements consistent with the CSI‐IPT Collaboration Agreement and Management System Plan.
Responsibilities
* Act as SME for EVM and demonstrate leadership in Project Planning & Controls across the CSI‐IPT Enterprise.
* Maintain and upkeep the CSI‐IPT EVMP and EVMS, including all relevant processes, systems and tools.
* Develop, maintain and drive the monthly EVM reporting drumbeat ensuring compliance.
* Support CSI‐IPT reporting activities and internal and external reviews in relation to EVM and Project Planning & Controls.
* Ensure consistency of EVM practices between all Programs and Tasking Statements within the CSI‐IPT.
* Lead a team of Project Planning and Controls professionals to ensure programs and portfolios of Tasking Statements are serviced and supported.
* Manage the Project Planning & Controls capability within the CSI‐IPT and encourage continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
* Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Interface with Industry Participants to ensure consistency and alignment of processes, tools, and practices.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification(s) in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience (preferably within the defence industry).
* Up to 4 years of engineering experience prior to this role.
* Practitioner level experience in Systems Engineering (Requirements Management, System Architecture, Systems Integration, and/or Verification and Validation).
* Sound understanding of systems engineering principles and practices.
* Proficiency in using systems engineering software tools and simulation environments (e.g., DOORS, Cameo Systems Modeler).
* Familiarity with complex systems (e.g., military systems) or related defence technologies (desirable).
* Familiarity with System Engineering in an ASDEFCON context (desirable).
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* Ability to work in a fast‐paced and dynamic environment.
