Kuranda District State College is seeking an experienced and collaborative leader to join the leadership team as Head of Department - Secondary (7-12).
This temporary full-time position is available until 11 December 2026, with possible extension, unless otherwise determined.

About The Role
As the Head of Department - Secondary (7-12), your responsibilities will include:
* Lead the school department and curriculum focus in developing and providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
* Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
* Set high standards for student and staff performance.
* Engage in lifelong learning and professional development.
* Build partnerships with students, parents, agencies, and community groups.
* Be future-oriented and strategic.
* Understand legislation and policies impacting on the school department, students and staff.
* Manage the human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources of the school department to achieve goals.
