We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Boilermaker / Welder to join our Darwin team.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform welding using MIG, TIG and Stick processes
* Work with carbon steel, stainless steel, copper nickel, aluminium and exotic materials
* Carry out deck repairs and replacements
* Install watertight doors and hatches
* Fabricate and repair pipes, tanks and marine components
* Ensure all welds meet strict quality standards and classification society requirements
* Follow all safe work practices and site safety procedures
* Contribute to a positive, productive and safety-focused team environment
* Work both independently and collaboratively across varied marine projects
About You
* Minimum 6 years' experience as a Boilermaker / Fabricator (marine or shipyard experience highly desirable)
* Strong fabrication and structural welding capability
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
* Demonstrated experience in aluminium welding using TIG and MIG
* Strong teamwork skills and commitment to safety culture
* White Card and valid Driver's Licence (essential)
* Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Clearance for a Defence Common Access Card (DCA)
