Team Member

The Team Member plays a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our store. This individual reports to the Store Manager and is classified as Level 1 in the GRA.

In the absence of the Store Manager, the Team Member reports to the Long Life and / or Fresh Food Manager.


Key Objectives:

1. Maximise Sales: Provide excellent customer service, maintain a clean and safe environment, and ensure a high standard of quality in all areas.
2. Support and Motivate: Execute routines and processes to a high standard, and be a constructive team member in the store.
3. Maintain Store Standards: Follow direction to maintain all areas of the store to the highest standard.


Responsibilities:

1. Ensure store routines and processes are carried out effectively & accurately.
2. Ensure all Schedule/Routine Cards are followed.
3. Assist with the induction and training of new employees and further development and training of existing employees.
4. Communicate to the Store Manager all incidents, damages, operational problems, or suggestions.
5. Minimise stock losses caused by store damages and internal/external theft.
6. Support the Store Team in managing the store standards.
7. Ensure information essential for Department Champions/Duty Managers to carry out their responsibilities is communicated to them.
8. Ensure that correct stocktake/stock adjustment process is occurring in all departments, accurate receipt of goods and accurate updating of invoices to give an accurate inventory.
9. Ensure that all equipment is in working order, used correctly and properly maintained.
10. Report any Pest issues to the Store Manager.
11. Ensure all controls, policies, and procedures (e.g. WH&S, Employee Handbook, Product Recall, Food Safety, Due Diligence, Handling of Payments etc) are followed.
12. Ensure all current legislative and Bernardi internal requirements and responsibilities are always adhered to by store staff and maintain adequate records. Inform and train store staff in all company procedures to comply with legal requirements.
13. Perform any special tasks as specified by the Store Manager that is in the nature of the role.
