External Sales Engineer
Salary: $80K–$115K + Super + $8K car allowance + petrol card + Annual Performance based Bonus (approx. $10k–$20k). Located in Wangara, WA with hybrid work arrangements (office and field visits). This role is for an engineer with experience in capital equipment and a desire to move into sales.
We are a dynamic, customer‐focused organisation in automation and technical training equipment. Our technical training and education division delivers hands‐on learning solutions to vocational training organisations and universities across multiple engineering disciplines (electrical, civil, mechanical, chemical, environmental, electrotechnology, automotive systems, hydraulics, instrumentation, refrigeration, aviation‐related training).
To be successful, you will be a self‐starter with strong problem‐solving skills and a growth mindset. Experience with universities, TAFEs, registered training organisations, OEMs or reseller networks and a background in engineering is required.
Key Responsibilities
* Grow revenue across Perth by managing and developing existing major client accounts.
* Expand the customer base across universities, TAFEs, training organisations, and industry partners.
* Raise the profile of the business and strengthen brand presence in the Perth market.
* Provide pre‐sales and post‐sales technical support, including hands‐on assistance when required.
Desired Qualifications
* Background or prior experience in Engineering.
* Proven experience in sales, ideally solution or consultative based.
* Experience working with universities, TAFEs, training organisations, OEMs, or reseller partners.
* Demonstrated track record in establishing and maintaining long‐term business partnerships.
* Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Strongly inquisitive mindset with the ability to work autonomously.
