The Clinical Nurse (Opiate Substitution Treatment) provides advanced, person-centred nursing care within the Prison Health Service at Maryborough Correctional Centre.
This role delivers specialised assessment, coordination, and treatment for individuals receiving opiate substitution therapy, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support harm reduction and recovery-focused outcomes.

Your opportunity:
To provide expert clinical knowledge specific to Medication-Assisted Treatment of Opioid Dependence providing Opiate Substitution Treatment (OST) to prisoners at the Maryborough Correctional Centre.
To provide expert clinical and client-centred care within the Prison Health Services (PHS).
Support the facilitation and provision of quality and cost-effective nursing services which are consistent with contemporary standards and evidence-informed practice.
The Clinical Nurse will team with the OST Nurse Practitioner and the OST Medical Officer.
The OST Clinical Nurse will be a contributing member of the PHS OST Clinical Management Team, utilising critical thinking and advanced problem-solving skills.
The position will demonstrate leadership in clinical decision making to provide and/or coordinate care to OST clients.

Our offer:
You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $131,900 p.a., comprising salary between $107,960 - $115,604 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to *****%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 6(1)) (Permanent Full Time, 76 hours p.f.) (Applications will remain current for 12 months or the duration of the vacancy).
