Position Title: LOCUM Staff Specialist – Clinical Haematology

Employment Type: Temporary Fixed Term, Full Time for 6 months

Hours per week: 1.0 FTE

Salary: As per the award

Enterprise Agreement: The Named NSW (Non-Declared) Affiliated Health Organisations' Staff Specialist Agreement 2021

About the role

To provide clinical services, in a senior clinician capacity including outpatient services and inpatient specialist expertise in the management of Haematology patients with general, malignant and transplant indicated Haematological conditions under your care.

Selection Criteria

* Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent's Health Australia.
* Possess, or be eligible for, specialist registration in Clinical Haematology and Haematology Pathology with the Medical Board of Australia.
* Possess Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and Royal College of Pathologists Australasia or equivalent as per Staff Specialist NSW State Award.
* Demonstrated knowledge, skills and high standards of clinical practice in Clinical Haematology and Haematology Pathology commensurate to experience with experience in stem cell transplant and cellular therapies, or a fellowship in a haematology interest area.
* Experience in high-quality research (basic, translational or clinical research, or informatics) relevant to the development of new knowledge and practices, commensurate with work in an academic teaching hospital environment.
* Ability to build and support teams, embrace change, earn respect, and foster loyalty.
* Ability to provide compassionate care as evidenced by recent experience in a multidisciplinary team environment.
* Demonstrated commitment to teaching at specialty registrar, junior medical officer and/or undergraduate levels.
* Demonstrate the skills and experience to manage competing priorities in a high pressure environment.
