Position Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate General Practitioner to join our team as a locum in the month of January. As a General Practitioner at Maroubra Family Doctors, you will play a vital role in providing primary healthcare services to our patients. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions, as well as managing chronic diseases and promoting preventive care.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct thorough patient consultations and physical examinations
* Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
* Prescribe medications and other treatments as needed
* Order and interpret diagnostic tests
* Provide counseling and education to patients on health maintenance and disease prevention
* Refer patients to specialists when necessary
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
* Stay current with medical advancements and best practices through continued education and training
Qualifications and Requirements
* Medical degree from an accredited institution
* Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Prior experience as a General Practitioner
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong diagnostic and problem‐solving abilities
* Ability to work well in a team environment
