The Role:
As Deputy Manager – Occupational Therapy (Acute), you play a key leadership role in shaping service delivery and supporting staff development. This position is responsible for the management and development of over 30 staff working within the Occupational Therapy Acute Team, across Medical and Cancer Services, Surgical Services and Women's and Children's Services. Your leadership is essential for maintaining excellence in patient outcomes and aligning services with the Department's CARE values—Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence.
You will work closely with the Occupational Therapy leadership team and multi-disciplinary leads to the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based services. You will also represent occupational therapy in the wider health care setting and deputise for the Head of Department when required.
You will need:
* Extensive experience as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in Acute Services.
* A proven ability to lead, engage others and drive change.
* A passion for staff well-being and development.

Details of appointment:
Permanent full-time, day worker position, working 38 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary:
$135,002 to $138,296 per annum pro rata. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
* Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022.

Essential criteria:
* Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
* Registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
Desirable criteria:
* Post-graduate studies in occupational therapy, public health, or health services leadership or management or other related area.
