About the Student Support and Engagement Team:
MNR has appointed a Student, Support and Engagement team to:
* Prioritise, coordinate and deliver direct-to-school support for individual students through the deployment of key members of the multi-disciplinary team and in alignment with student case management processes.
* Provide high-level advice to principals and school leadership teams to maximise learning opportunities for every student.
* Ensure alignment of regional resources to areas of student and school support need within the Strategic Plan
Based in Metropolitan North Regional Office (Nundah and North Lakes), the Student Support and Engagement team support learning and engagement of young people in their educational pathway to ensure they reach their full potential and maximise their learning in alignment with the strategy. Working as a key member of a multidisciplinary team you will be supporting and leading case management. Our multidisciplinary team includes: Deputy Principal, Guidance Officers, AVTs, Senior Therapists - PT ,OT, SLP, Senior social workers and a Student Support Officer. We are responsive to referrals that come to region for individual student support and work collaboratively across regional and school teams to support schools and students.
About the Senior Physiotherapist role in the SSET:
The successful applicant will contribute to school and DoE Strategies and Measures identified in the Strategic Plan.
You will be responsible for the following:
* Use your physiotherapy expertise to support school leaders with strategies to maximise learning for students through individualised and differentiated student support, whole school systems and processes and capability development of school staff.
* Support other physiotherapists within your region to use complex, clinical evidence-based physiotherapy to achieve student learning outcomes through differentiated teaching and learning, demonstrating a flexible approach to apply physiotherapy knowledge to enhance student engagement.
* Quickly develop effective working relationships within the SSET, regional and school staff to rapidly respond and contribute to collaborative identification of barriers to student learning, development of effective evidence-based adjustments and strategies, and achievement of targeted outcomes.
* Effectively and responsively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders within and beyond school and regional teams to facilitate knowledge and resource sharing that contributes to positive and sustainable outcomes for student engagement.
* Demonstrates high level of leadership, collaboration skills and professionalism during critical situations, supporting the team to recognise gaps in information and seek a prompt and tangible response.
* Participate as a member of the school team, in culturally responsive planning with the aim of maximising student learning, engagement and wellbeing.
* Travel to schools across the region will be required and DoE fleet cars are available for this purpose.
