What's on offer
We are looking for a Multi Skilled Road Worker to be part of our team undertaking planned maintenance work across the Victorian Road Maintenance Contract Barwon South West, working closely with the Department of Transport and Planning. This role will be based out of our Geelong Depot.
Responsibilities
Vegetation control, graffiti removal, pot-hole repairs, edge break repairs, general flocon work & sign installation/maintenance.
Mobile plant operation (e.g. rollers, skid steers, heavy rigid truck).
Road work maintenance construction and safe operation near live traffic.
Toolbox meetings, pre-start risk assessments and project-specific data capture.
Inspections of assets connected to the maintenance contract.
Other activities include: asphalt laying and physical duties such as shovelling, raking, brooming.
How you will connect to the role
Availability to work overtime, weekends and nights when required.
Current drainage experience preferred but not essential.
Asphalt laying experience preferred but not essential.
General earthworks/pipe laying experience preferred but not essential.
Competent with skid steers, rollers and excavators – an advantage.
Essential licence / Experience include
Construction induction card
HR truck licence
Current traffic tickets (preferred)
Driver's licence
This role is required to be on call, attending and managing after-hours call-outs as agreed with management.
The pre-employment process will include a medical check including drug and alcohol screening.
