The Graduate School of Medicine's (GSM) purpose is to improve health and wellbeing through best practice medical education and meaningful research. The Doctor of Medicine (MD) program is delivered primarily on three campuses located in Wollongong, Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands, as well as in numerous rural sites throughout NSW.
About the role:
We are seeking part-time Lecturers or Senior Lecturers to support the delivery and development of Case-Based Learning (CBL) within the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program. This includes developing documentation and learning resources for both new and existing CBL activities, teaching whole-group and small-group sessions, supporting the engagement and training of other CBL facilitators, and contributing to relevant assessment processes.
About you:
To be successful you will be medically qualified with eligibility for unconditional registration as a medical practitioner within NSW and have experience in rural or regional medical practice. You should demonstrate an understanding of inquiry-based learning approaches (such as PBL, CBL, or TBL), and a strong background in both large and small group teaching within academic or clinical settings. A demonstrated commitment to student development, effective teamwork, strong communication skills, and proficiency in using technology for teaching and learning are also essential.

* This position requires the incumbent to reside rurally in a Modified Monash Model: (MM2+) region https://www.health.gov.au/topics/rural-health-workforce/classifications/mmm. If you don't reside rurally in a MM2+ region, employment will be subject to evidencing that you have relocated prior to commencement.
*Continuing Contingent: Refer to section 21 of the University of Wollongong (Academic Staff) Enterprise Agreement, 2023: This position forms part of the Increasing Rural Medical Training (IRMT) funding agreement. Should funding cease and not be renewed the continuing appointment may be terminated on the basis of the contingency.
