About the Role
As an Intern, you will play an integral role in the day‐to‐day management of ophthalmology cases, working closely with Specialists, Residents and a highly experienced nursing team.
Responsibilities
* Assisting with consultations and case work‐ups
* Supporting diagnostic procedures such as electroretinography (ERG), ultrasonography and ocular paracentesis
* Assisting with anaesthesia and surgical case management
* Participating in a diverse caseload including small animals, exotics, equine and zoo species
* Contributing to occasional emergency and after‐hours care as part of a shared roster
This is a busy referral‐based practice offering exposure to a high medical and surgical caseload, making it an excellent foundation for those pursuing specialisation.
