Maranatha Christian School, founded in 1970, is committed to providing exceptional Christ‐centred education across its two Melbourne campuses, guided by the motto My Utmost for His Glory.
As a growing, independent, co‐educational and non‐denominational school, Maranatha serves more than 1,200 students across the Casey and Cardinia regions. The Endeavour Hills Campus offers education from ELC to Year 12, while the Officer Campus currently caters for ELC to Year 6 and is preparing to expand into secondary year levels from 2027.
Role Overview
An opportunity has arisen for an Education Support Teacher in our Junior Schools across both the Endeavour Hills and Officer Campuses.
Under the guidance of the Head of Education Support, the Education Support Teacher will work collaboratively with junior school teachers, learning assistants, school leadership and other corresponding teams to enhance student outcomes. The role will provide support to class teachers and parents in preparing, monitoring and reviewing Individual Learning Plans. The Education Support Teacher will identify and support at‐risk students with specific learning needs and design individualised and small group education programmes.
Commencement date negotiable. Ongoing, full‐time position available.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with junior school teachers, learning assistants, and school leadership.
* Support class teachers and parents in preparing, monitoring and reviewing Individual Learning Plans.
* Identify and support at‐risk students with specific learning needs.
* Design and implement individualised and small‐group education programmes.
Qualifications
* Demonstrated high level of competency in the classroom.
* Experience in identifying and supporting students with special educational needs and preparing Individual Education Plans.
* Experience in preparing NCCD documentation is advantageous.
* Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration required.
* Right to live and work in Australia.
