About the Role
The Communications and Media Manager plays a pivotal role in increasing coverage and public support for our organization's work by effectively communicating our services, issues we care about, and policy solutions.
Promoting our organization using non-paid media to increase community reach and brand awareness is a key responsibility. This involves developing and implementing communications strategies in collaboration with internal teams, ensuring consistent messaging across all platforms.

Building and maintaining media relationships, providing media training, and identifying compelling stories from staff and service users are crucial aspects of this role.
To ensure communications align with accessibility standards, reconciliation commitments, brand guidelines, and internal policies, while tracking performance and managing budgets, is a critical responsibility of this position.
This role requires strong media relationships and 4+ years' experience pitching and securing media coverage. Proven success in media and social media engagement, including public relations campaigns, is essential. Excellent writing skills for diverse audiences, with strong attention to detail and proofreading ability, are also necessary.
