This is a critical senior leadership role within Group Risk with a primary focus on leading and elevating the organisation's financial crime policy environment. As a Senior Partner in Governance, Policy and Regulatory Reporting, you will take ownership of designing, maintaining and continuously uplifting BOQ Group's financial crime policy suite, ensuring it remains current, risk-based and aligned to evolving regulatory expectations across AML/CTF, sanctions and broader obligations.You will translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, practical and actionable policies and standards that enable the business to operate confidently and compliantly. Working closely with Line 1 and Group functions, you will drive the rollout and embedment of these policies across the organisation, balancing strong compliance outcomes with practical implementation.Alongside this, you will play a key role in governance and regulatory reporting, contributing to executive and board-level forums and providing high-quality insights that support effective risk management and decision-making. You will also monitor financial crime risk indicators, identify emerging themes and support the continuous improvement of the Group's financial crime framework, helping to protect customers, strengthen regulatory confidence and enable safe business outcomes.This is a unique opportunity to step into a newly created role and help shape how financial crime risk is managed at BOQ Group, contributing to the design and uplift of critical frameworks that support the bank's future direction.**About you**You are an experienced financial crime professional within banking or financial services, with deep expertise in AML/CTF policy development and governance. You have a strong track record of writing, reviewing and uplifting financial crime policies and frameworks, and are confident translating complex regulatory obligations into clear, practical guidance that drives consistent outcomes across a business.You bring strong knowledge of AML/CTF legislation, AUSTRAC requirements and broader regulatory expectations, combined with experience working across risk and control frameworks. You are comfortable engaging at a senior level, partnering with stakeholders across the business to embed policy effectively, and contributing to governance forums with well-structured, evidence-based insights.You balance strong technical capability with sound judgement, taking a pragmatic and solutions-focused approach while maintaining high standards. With excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, you are able to provide constructive challenge, influence outcomes and build trust across complex environments.
