What you'll do
* Lead and manage the planning, execution, and completion of external audits of financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
* Supervise audit teams, provide coaching and development opportunities, and ensure high‐quality and timely deliverables.
* Identify and assess financial statement risks through detailed audit procedures and substantive testing, applying professional judgment.
* Evaluate clients' internal controls and risk management frameworks to support robust audit conclusions.
* Prepare and review clear and concise audit reports and communicate findings effectively with clients and senior stakeholders.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance audit efficiency, quality, and client experience.
* Build strong client relationships, proactively resolving complex accounting and audit issues, and advising on best practices.
What we're looking for
* Financial Expertise: At least 5 years' experience in external audit, preferably with a recognised CA qualification.
* Leadership and Management: Proven ability to lead and develop audit teams, manage multiple audit engagements and priorities, and deliver high‐quality outcomes.
* Client Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal skills to engage, influence, and build trust with senior client stakeholders.
* Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of auditing standards, financial reporting frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
* Problem Solving: Ability to analyse complex financial and business issues, exercise professional judgement, and provide practical recommendations.
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex audit findings clearly to diverse audiences.
