Senior Business Analyst – Information Services Directorate
We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders, gathering and prioritising requirements, analysing processes and data, identifying improvement opportunities, and facilitating communication between business units and IT teams. The analyst will contribute to the design and implementation of IT systems and technologies, and support project management activities.
About the Team
The Business Engagement Team is responsible for managing the demand for ICT services and the portfolio of digital initiatives from concept to resolution. It works with business and Information Services teams to create innovative digital solutions aligned with DWER's strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with stakeholders and subject‐matter experts to gather and prioritise business requirements.
* Analyse business processes and data and identify opportunities for improvement.
* Support project management activities and facilitate communication between business and IT teams.
* Contribute to the successful design and implementation of IT systems and technologies.
* Prepare requirements documentation and maintain business requirements traceability.
Qualifications and Experience
* Relevant experience in business analysis and IT project liaison.
* Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Knowledge of business process improvement, business modelling and requirements definition.
* Experience using business analysis tools and techniques.
Two referees (one preferred to be a current supervisor or recent manager) are required for assessment.
