Principal Scientist: Your Role & ImpactThis newly created role offers a unique platform for a reproductive scientist to lead innovation and elevate clinical outcomes. As Principal Scientist, working with the CEO and Leadership Team you will be a key architect of our organisation's strategy, driving excellence across our clinical program.
Key Responsibilities:Play a leading role in the development and implementation of innovative ART treatments.Design and direct translational research programs that optimise patient outcomes.Validate and integrate novel technologies and protocols, collaborating with internal teams and external research partners.Champion clinical governance through rigorous analysis, continuous review, and transparent reporting.Foster a culture of continuous learning and scientific excellence.Publish and present original research, enhancing the clinic's reputation in reproductive science.Collaborate cross-functionally with clinicians, scientists/embryologists, nurses, and patient care teams to translate innovation into practice.Contribute to strategic planning, budgeting, and reinvestment of resources in alignment with our mission.
What We're Looking ForEssential Qualifications & Experience:PhD (or equivalent) in Reproductive Biology, Embryology, Developmental Biology, Biotechnology, or related discipline. Masters may be considered, with appropriate experience.Deep understanding of ART regulatory, clinical governance, and ethical frameworks in Australia.Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in an ART laboratory.Proven experience in method development, validation, and clinical translation of new technologies.Strong track record of peer-reviewed publications and/or competitive grant funding.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.Demonstrated ability to mentor and inspire multidisciplinary teams.Collaborative mindset and willingness to engage across clinical and patient care domains.Eligibility to work in Australia and compliance with NSW Health facility requirements.
