Overview
At Kelair Holdings Pty Ltd, we provide commercial and residential waste management solutions to the Perth and greater‐metro area. Servicing from Yanchep to Rockingham and Mandurah.
Position
We are seeking full‐time Welder/Metal Fabricators for the repair of skip and industrial‐sized bins in Muchea.
Responsibilities
* Conduct a number of fabricating methods that may include cutting, welding, forming, burning, machining, dishing, and other specialized techniques as necessary.
* Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements.
* Select, clean and prepare metal stock.
* Cut marked‐out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame‐cutting torches and metal‐cutting machines.
* Shape and bend metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, by heating and hammering.
* Align parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments.
* Join metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting.
* Examine welds for width of bead, penetration and precision.
* Finish products by cleaning, polishing, filing and bathing in acidic solutions.
* Clean and smooth welds by filing, chiselling and grinding.
* Lightly maintain and repair skip and front lift bins (as necessary).
Qualifications & Requirements
* Proficient in metal gas inert (MIG) welding to combine two or more metals.
* Skilled in stick welding to add strength using a wire electrode.
* Experience in Skip and Front Lift Bin Repairs.
* Ability to work as an individual and in a team environment.
* Must be able to start immediately.
* Ability to pass medical, drug screening and Police Clearance.
* More than 4 years of relevant work experience.
* Working rights required for this role.
Salary range: $60,000 to $80,000 depending on skills and experience.
