About the Business Unit: The Victorian Road Safety Strategy 2021-2030 commits to the ambitious target of eliminating death from our roads by 2050, with the first step of halving road deaths by 2030. It also seeks to reduce the incidence of serious injury resulting from road crashes. The Road Safety manages Victoria's road safety camera network and is a representative for the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) in Victoria's road safety partnership. Road Safety contributes to this partnership in the operation of road safety cameras, and the policy and strategic directions of the broader road safety enforcement. Road Safety is accountable to the Minister for Police and the Office of the Road Safety Camera Commissioner. About the Role: The Senior Operations Officer reports to the Assistant Manager, Operations and provides mentoring and technical support to a team of Operation Officers who are responsible for administering the operational processes associated with the access, maintenance and testing requirements of camera enforcement sites in the State. Some of your duties will include: * Overseeing and coordinating contractors conducting routine and adhoc activities to ensure maintenance, testing and certification schedules are met and that works are performed in accordance with contracts, policies, and business rules * Providing mentoring, training, and technical support to a team of Operation Officers administering maintenance, testing and certification processes and activities for the enforcement of sites in accordance with contractual obligations * Undertaking monitoring, quality assurance and administrative tasks relating to maintenance, testing and certification of FDSC sites To learn more about this role before applying, please read the attached position description.
