The Clinic Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the GOS clinic while delivering high-quality nursing care and supporting positive health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in the Gascoyne region. This position plays a key role in clinic coordination, chronic disease management, health promotion, staff support, accreditation activities, infection control, and ensuring quality clinical care is delivered across the service.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the daily operations of the GOS clinic.
* Provide quality nursing care and clinical support.
* Support chronic disease management and health promotion activities.
* Maintain clinical policies, accreditation, and compliance requirements.
* Support infection control, WHS, and continuous quality improvement.
* Assist with staff support, orientation, and professional development.
* Build strong relationships with community members and key stakeholders to improve health outcomes and service delivery.
Qualifications
* Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
* Previous experience working with chronic disease management.
* Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
* National Police Clearance.
* Working with Children Check or ability to obtain one.
* Demonstrated experience working in an Aboriginal Medical Service (AMS) or Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organization (ACCHO).
