About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Enterprise Architect - Cloud and Infrastructure to join our dynamic team. The Enterprise Architect - Cloud and Infrastructure will play a crucial role in providing the technical leadership and strategic direction for the cloud, infrastructure, networks and security technologies, standards, processes and architectures across the Endeavour Group.
Responsibilities
* Architecture Development: Develop the cloud and on‐premises architecture services, inclusive of the infrastructure, networks and security, in alignment with the broader enterprise architecture team practice and its operating and governance processes.
o Develop the cloud architectures and standards for the organisation, enabling the strategic business goals and objectives to align with technology outcomes, and provide high‐level strategic advice for future cloud initiatives and investments in IT business systems and business solutions.
o Define and design the cloud and infrastructure architecture platforms and business solutions to meet the identified organisational needs within the overarching program roadmap and program architecture, and act as the technical implementation lead for the program and for each related program initiative and/or stream, advancing the cloud architectures for the program and adding new capabilities to meet future requirements.
* Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
o Work with internal program and project resources – other enterprise architects, program and solutions architects, developers and development teams – to develop and then implement proposed enterprise‐wide cloud, inclusive of infrastructure, networks and security architectures and solutions within agreed time‐frames, ensuring the architectures align with the organisation's enterprise‐wide process, rules and standards.
o Liaise with third parties and other vendors and act as the lead technical representative for the enterprise‐wide cloud inclusive of infrastructure, networks and security initiatives, advocating architectural outcomes, and advising on data and information architecture business systems and solutions utilisation and adoption.
* System Integration: Design and implement cloud, inclusive of infrastructure, networks and security architecture business solutions to connect various systems and applications, ensuring seamless interoperability amongst the Endeavour Group and potentially Woolworths Limited (WOW).
* Performance Optimisation: Identify performance bottlenecks and architectural weaknesses, and propose solutions to optimise system performance and scalability.
* Risk Management: Assess technical risks associated with proposed cloud business solutions and provide mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with clients, project managers, developers and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of cloud and infrastructure architectures to technical solutions with business objectives and requirements.
* Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design documents and best‐practice guidelines.
* Monitor and Maintain: Review and report to stakeholders and customers on enterprise‐wide cloud architecture major programs and strategic project delivery against agreed commitments and adjust activities as necessary.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* At least 5 years' experience working as a Cloud Architect defining infrastructure/networks and security architectures – such as Azure, and/or Google Cloud and hybrid services, or a similar capacity.
* At least 5 years' experience working as an infrastructure Architect focusing on on‐premise technologies covering EUC, Server, Network and Security.
* Experience in the following technologies/frameworks:
o Zachman and/or TOGAF
o ITIL, ITSM and/or COBIT
o Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
o Digital technology and development
o Service‐Oriented Architecture (SOA)
* Experience with distributed management and analytics in cloud and hybrid environments, and understanding of a variety of data access and analytics approaches (e.g., microservices and event‐based architectures).
* Experience in the use of integration solutions to solve business problems in large complex organisations.
* Knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies such as digital, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL) and Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
* Strong awareness and understanding of hardware, networks, software technologies and applications.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non‐technical stakeholders.
* Strong problem‐solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
* Knowledge of emerging technologies, digital solutions, cyber security and IT industry market trends.
