Logistics Officer Job Summary
The Logistics Officer is a vital member of our response team, responsible for providing timely and accurate advice and administrative support to all staff and other clients in relation to administration, asset management, finance and procurement procedures and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide administrative support to staff and clients in relation to administration, asset management, finance and procurement procedures and systems.
* Support and guide team members to ensure compliance with established work practices and procedures and achievement of agreed objectives.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of departmental administration, asset management, finance, HR and procurement policies and procedures.
* Coordinate the implementation of administrative networks and systems to support response activities.
* Consult and share information with other sections to source suppliers locally, nationally and internationally as needed.
* Liaise with emergency service agencies to ensure effective support for response activities.
* Contribute to a safe working environment for all logistics personnel.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics or related field.
* At least 3 years of experience in logistics or a related field.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Knowledge of procurement procedures and systems.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
