Job Description:
We are seeking aFull Time, IT Business Analyst, in our IT Unit, on a2-year fixed term basis.
TheIT Business Analystfocuses on providing an excellent member and employee experience using RANZCR's applications.
The Business Analyst's role is to plan, design, develop, and launch efficient business and operations systems in support of core organisational functions and business processes.
This includes gathering and analysing data in support of proposed and ongoing projects.
The position will also support the business in embedding implemented technologies by providing application support to end users.
Key applications you will work on are MS Dynamics CRM, examinations software, student ePortfolio, CPD system and others as required.
You will be part of a team, contributing to the delivery of user experience improvement projects.
This individual will apply proven technical knowledge, business analysis, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximise the benefit of business system investments.
Business Solutions
Develop, test and document business requirements, business processes, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with ITU business analysts and project managers.
Collaborate with external developers and engineers in testing and development of new software programs and applications.
Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications.
Contribute to software development project plans, including scoping, scheduling, and implementation.
Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve systems issues.
Contribute to sessions in prototyping new systems for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow.
Assist business and functional analysts to review and analyse the effectiveness and efficiency of existing business processes and systems and execute outcomes.
Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.
Application Support
Provide support to end users in the organisation to embed new technologies.
Troubleshoot applications and software for technical issues encountered by users.
Communicate application problems and issues to key stakeholders.
Test fixes and perform post-resolution follow-ups to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.
Record, track, and document the problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution.
Identify ways to reduce support through user training and identification of the root cause.
Project & Operational Management
Contribute to project plans and associated communications documents.
Effectively communicate project progress to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
Contribute to reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas across the organisation.
Required Skills and Experience:
1-2 years minimum in a similar role
Experience with SaaS, PaaS implementations
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office 365 applications
Demonstrated business analysis skills: running workshops, requirements gathering, write test cases, stakeholder engagement, setting priorities, meeting deadlines, keeping within scope, analytic and problem solving.
Knowledge and skills as a business analyst
Knowledge of project management skills
Knowledge of the SDLC
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including instructional, facilitation and presentation skills
Able to work cohesively in a team environment
Able to liaise at all levels of an organisation
High attention to detail
Knowledge of Dynamics 365 CRM
Appropriate tertiary qualification in a related discipline and/or relevant work experience.
