Terrific opportunity for an APS 5 Web Publishing Officer to join the Communications and Production team of a small but high-profile Federal Agency.
You will become the go-to person for all things web and publishing related within a team that is responsible for content development, design and production for the Agency and takes the lead in creating engaging digital content to support client areas, activities, and campaigns.
You will work with diverse client areas to help them deliver meaningful and impactful work, collaborating with Senior Communication experts to communicate their work internally and externally.
Initial 12 month labour-hire contract, with potential to become ongoing. Acton location. Rate negotiable within the APS 5 Band.
Key Responsibilities:
- Publish, edit and improve content on the website and intranet
- Ensure content is culturally appropriate and aligns with the brand style guide
- Work with the team to identify and pursue new digital content opportunities
- Build positive relationships with team members and client areas
- Offer advice across the Institute on web publishing
- Use analytics tools to interpret and analyse data and provide reports
Respect for the contribution of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, knowledge and materials when undertaking projects and the ability to engage with cultural sensitivity will be a critical aspect of this role.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in digital communications ideally with skills and experience in Drupal, SharePoint, or comparable CMS
- Experience in using analytics tools to interpret and analyse data
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, internally and externally
- Knowledge of the Digital Service Standard and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
- Experience in web content writing and editing on digital platforms
- Knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Well-organised, with the ability to work under pressure, often in a fast-paced environment, and prioritise workload to meet deadlines
- Australian citizenship
