About the Opportunity
A growing and highly regarded accounting and advisory firm within the Goulburn Valley is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to work alongside its leadership team on a high-quality business client base. Key Responsibilities
* Manage a diverse portfolio of business clients across tax compliance, financial reporting and strategic advisory
* Review financial statements and tax returns across individuals, partnerships, trusts and companies
* Lead succession planning conversations with business owners and family groups, navigating complex structures and long-term planning
* Advise primary production clients across rural and agricultural businesses on tax strategy, structuring and compliance
* Provide tax planning and structuring advice across complex business and family group arrangements
* Build deep, trusted relationships with farming and rural business clients, understanding the unique challenges of the sector
* Review and mentor junior accountants, supporting their development and quality of output
* Drive client engagement, acquisition and retention, building long-term trusted relationships
Requirements
* Experienced in a management position in public practice across business services and tax
* Strong technical knowledge across business entity structures
* Experience working with primary production and rural clients highly regarded
* Experience with succession planning and tax structuring for privately owned businesses and family groups
* Strong leadership presence, able to mentor a team while maintaining excellent senior-level client relationships
* Proactive, commercially curious and comfortable managing a varied client portfolio
* Someone who genuinely enjoys the advisory side and building client relationships, not just filing returns
* Open to relocating to within the Goulburn Valley for the right opportunity
