About the Role
This hands-on, client-facing position offers direct collaboration with senior accountants and directors across both offices. As a regional accountant, you will play a key role in preparing tax returns, financial statements, and gaining exposure to business advisory services such as structuring and tax planning.
The role is based in Warragul full-time and primarily in-office, Monday to Friday. Standard operating hours are 8:45am to 5:15pm, with flexibility around start and finish times.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Prepare income tax returns and financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals
* Assist with tax planning, structuring, and basic advisory work
* Support workflow and client management alongside Directors
* Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
* Utilize Xero and other cloud platforms to deliver accurate, efficient results
Skills and Qualifications
* 3-5 years of experience in a public practice environment
* Working towards or recently completed CA/CPA
* Strong technical grounding in compliance work
* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
* Experience with Xero is essential – strong working knowledge preferred
