Your Impact
The Proof-of-Concept Engineer is a Solution Engineer responsible for developing, planning, designing, delivering, and coordinating Customer Proof of Concept (CPoC) Labs, primarily focusing on Data Centre architecture but potentially including other technologies. This role involves extensive collaboration with Business Units, Content Developers, Partners, and customers throughout the POC process, from introduction to build, testing, and delivery. The engineer will work with account teams to understand customer requirements, testing needs, and capabilities.
Job Responsibilities
Project Management 10%
Identify and prioritize project tasks, organize, strategize, and communicate goals effectively across organizational levels. Ensure all third-party developers report status effectively.
Engineering 50%
Design, develop, document, and deliver content related to Data Centre solutions. Meet with stakeholders to gather requirements and create design and test plans aligned with POC objectives. Lead the engineer team through all POC phases, collaborating with engineers of various specialties.
Platform Design 20%
Document and plan projects using standard templates and tools (Visio, PowerPoint, MS Project). Justify all designs in peer reviews.
Support 10%
Serve as the first point of contact for escalations, working with teams to ensure issues are resolved, documented, and communicated. Collaborate with project managers to update content and documentation as needed.
Other 5%
Act as a third-party liaison and independent content developer.
Minimum Qualifications:
* CCIE Level or equivalent experience in networking and data centre technologies.
* Proficiency in AI-Ready Data Centre technologies such as Nvidia Infiniband, Hyperfabric, etc.
* Experience with Nexus, VXLAN, SDN solutions.
* Knowledge of Cisco solutions like Nexus Dashboard, ACI, EVPN, UCS, SDA, SDWAN, and network appliances.
* Understanding of multi-cloud environments and virtualization technologies.
* Familiarity with network testing tools such as Spirent, IXIA, Keysight, etc.
