Opportunity We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated 2/1 FIFO Senior Formwork Project Engineer (FRP) to join our team on a major remote civil infrastructure project in NSW. This role is ideal for a professional with strong concrete structures experience (formwork, reinforcement, concrete) and experience working on concrete structures underground / in‑situ tunnel lining and complex formwork projects.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret technical specifications and construction drawings; draft and maintain detailed construction plans and methodologies
Lead activities involving DOKA formwork systems, reinforcement detailing, concrete supply coordination, and placement
Ensure a strong understanding of the project scope, including drawings, specifications, and work plans
Troubleshoot formwork‑related issues and collaborate with designers to resolve design challenges
Develop detailed construction work programmes and schedules for allocated work packages
Manage allocated scopes of work, including equipment, materials and workforce, ensuring full compliance with all requirements
Identify and document scope variations for review and approval by the Construction Manager
Contribute to margin improvement strategies in collaboration with the Project Manager and project teams
Ensure project team understanding and adherence to QA procedures, ITPs, test methods and reporting standards
Prepare and gain approval for Construction Management Plans specific to the project
Develop, review and coordinate ITPs, checklists and QA documentation for client approval
About You
Minimum 10 years post‑grad experience with a focus on remote infrastructure projects such as tunnels / diffusers / FRP
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (postgraduate qualifications advantageous)
Comfortable working in remote FIFO/DIDO environments on a 2:1 roster
Demonstrated expertise in project engineering functions, including forecasting and cost tracking, budget management & end‑of‑month reporting process
