Operating for over a century, our client is an established FMCG manufacturer that has an extensive range of well-loved products produced within a self-contained facility.
Your new role
Leading a small team of category specialists, you will enhance and execute strategies for both direct and indirect spend items, from raw ingredients and packaging, to services and plant maintenance. You will be responsible for aligning with supply chain and commercial managers in the respective market-facing business units and build relationships that drive standardisation and cost-optimisation as well as risk-mitigation according to the organisation's governance measures. You will also establish short and long-term sourcing / bench-marking plans and promote the business strategy across the respective affiliates. Key stakeholder management and market analysis will also be an integral part of your role.
What you'll need to succeed
* Bachelor's degree in Business or fields related to Supply Chain/Procurement
* Strong commercial acumen, negotiation and analytical skills, managing expectations upwards and downwards, ideally with experience in lean environments.
* Self-driven with a leadership mindset, a sense of urgency
* Dynamic working style with familiarity with Excel, Oracle or SAP (MM Module and others) and e-Procurement systems
