Ngala's Strong Self Strong Spirit program is looking for a weekly volunteer! Ngala's SS program is a strengths‐based program for children aged 8‐12 in Geraldton with the aim to build resilience and learn how to regulate big emotions.
As a volunteer, you will help engage program participants, support them through their learning and assist two Ngala staff members with program facilitation.
Through volunteering you will learn emotional regulation skills, gaining valuable tools and strategies that can be applied to yourself, family members or friends. You will also gain experience working for a not‐for‐profit organization in the community services sector.
When
Monday afternoons after school, from 3:15 pm to 5:00 pm during School Term 2 (2025), School Term 3 (2025) and School Term 4 (2025).
Note: Ability to gain a WWC Check and a National Police Clearance is a must. Ngala will provide the resource to obtain the checks for the successful applicant.
Commitment
Regular – more than 6 months, needed on Monday afternoons from 3:15 pm to 5:00 pm.
