We have an exciting opportunity at nbn, as the Manager, Financial Control and Accounting Services, reporting to the Executive Manager, Financial Control and Accounting Service.
The Manager in Financial Control and Accounting Services is a technical specialist role responsible for delivering defined outcomes across key focus areas by improving service provision within end-to-end value streams.
The role requires leadership through example, setting service standards and KPIs, driving continuous improvement with data, and fostering a culture of transformation and growth. It involves taking a holistic view of processes, identifying opportunities for change, and embedding a challenger and growth mindset within the team to enhance customer experience and organisational performance.
The ideal candidate should have experience in financial and operational business functions, ideally within large teams and shared service environments. Key competencies include a strong grasp of Australian accounting standards, transformation delivery, critical thinking, and advanced problem-solving. Finally, the role demands excellent communication and influencing skills, particularly with senior stakeholders, and the ability to adapt and lead in complex, evolving environments.
