Field Service Technician – Bosch Rexroth, Hagglunds division, Mackay, QLD.
Responsibilities
* Respond promptly to customer service and breakdown requests, carrying out on site inspections, hydraulic fault finding, repairs, and system testing to restore equipment performance and minimize downtime.
* Perform installation, commissioning, and modernization of large‐scale hydraulic drive systems, including motors, power units, pipework, controls, and associated components, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic system issues such as pressure, flow, contamination, leakage, overheating, and component wear, supported by detailed testing and root‐cause analysis.
* Prepare clear and accurate service reports documenting findings, corrective actions, and recommendations for ongoing reliability and maintenance.
* Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers by communicating effectively on‐site, recommending repair strategies, identifying spare parts and upgrade opportunities, and preparing service quotations.
* Manage service documentation, including reports, vendor quotes, delivery dockets, and job records, ensuring completeness, traceability, and quality control.
* Coordinate the ordering, installation, and verification of hydraulic components, performing follow‐up testing as required, and representing the Bosch Rexroth brand professionally while maintaining strict customer confidentiality.
Qualifications
* Australian permanent resident or citizen.
* Trade qualification as a Hydraulic Fitter, Mechanical Fitter, or equivalent.
* Demonstrated experience in field service and maintenance of hydraulic systems, ideally within heavy industry environments.
* Strong working knowledge of hydraulic circuits, components, and system diagnostics, including fault finding under pressure, flow, and load conditions.
* Strong commitment to safety, quality, and attention to detail.
* Self‐motivated with a practical, results‐focused approach.
* Strong planning and organizational skills, able to manage competing priorities.
* Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
