Networks Specialist Role
We are seeking skilled professionals to join our Fixed Networks team within the Technology Remote Operations Centre (TROC) based in Perth.
Operating 24x7 on a lifestyle roster, the TROC team supports a wide range of safety and production-critical Operational Technology (OT) systems across Minerals Australia assets.
Networks Specialists play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of critical production networks. Critical infrastructure requires dedicated expertise to ensure optimal performance and reliability. As part of the Networks team, you will have a significant impact on our operations. Our TROC is responsible for operating the entire operational network including all IT related solutions for remote sites, which represents a unique opportunity to be involved with a wide variety of technologies.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure the reliability and efficiency of critical production networks by identifying potential risks and implementing proactive measures
* Monitor and maintain network systems around the clock to prevent system downtime
* Collaborate with stakeholders to drive improvements, reduce downtime and enhance performance through data-driven insights
Requirements:
* Completed a tertiary or vendor qualification in either a technology science or engineering discipline
* Previous experience working in an OT Operations Centre or similar environment
* Strong analytical problem-solving skills and effective communication skills to work effectively across teams
* Ability to translate technical business requirements to non-technical audiences
* Proven track record of delivering results-driven solutions under pressure
* Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
* Experience with technologies such as VMWare, Ansible, Cisco and Juniper network devices highly advantageous
