The Workforce Strategy and Planning Unit (WSPU) provides statewide leadership in cross‐sectoral health workforce strategy, policy and planning, delivering integrated, evidence‐based workforce planning aligned with service and infrastructure planning. The unit leads the implementation and monitoring of the Health Workforce Sustainability Strategy and Plan (WSSP) and ensures alignment with national workforce reforms and priorities.
Role
This position leads the development and continuous improvement of monitoring, evaluation and oversight arrangements for the Health Workforce Sustainability Strategy and Plan (WSSP), supporting transparent and evidence‐informed decision‐making. The incumbent designs and manages monitoring frameworks, governance structures and performance metrics, providing high‐level analysis of progress, risks and system impacts for senior leaders and government.
Responsibilities
* Design and manage the monitoring and evaluation framework for the WSSP, including metrics, indicators, review cycles, data sources and reporting outputs.
* Design governance structures and processes that reflect the distributed governance model for the WSSP, establish escalation pathways and reporting mechanisms to provide visibility of progress, risks and opportunities, and enable timely collaboration and intervention.
* Conduct high‐level analysis integrating performance data, stakeholder insights and system intelligence to assess progress, identify barriers and recommend corrective or adaptive actions.
Eligibility and Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study.
* Formal training in program evaluation methodologies and/or substantial experience in monitoring and evaluation, performance frameworks, governance or related program oversight roles within complex organisations.
Appointment Details
* Permanent, full‐time day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight.
Salary
$132,460 to $139,392 per annum, plus a 12% superannuation contribution.
