$43.23 – $44.59 per hour + optional salary package
About the role
Forsight Australia is seeking passionate and dedicated Casual Active Support Workers to join our team. We have 4 homes conveniently located in Shell Cove, Coniston, Albion Park and Shellharbour that you will predominantly be working across.
In this role, you will provide personalised support to adults with a range of disabilities, empowering them to live independently and participate actively in their local community.
What you'll be doing
* Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
* Facilitating community engagement and participation through outings, leisure activities, and social events
* Advocating for clients' rights and ensuring their individual needs and preferences are met
* Collaborating with the wider support team to develop and implement holistic care plans
* Maintaining accurate records and documentation to support client wellbeing and care
* Adhering to all organisational policies, procedures, and safety protocols
What we're looking for
* A Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services, or a related field, or studying towards, and/or at least 6 months experience in a similar role, supporting adults with a range of disabilities
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and their families
* Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a flexible, adaptable approach to supporting clients' needs
* A genuine passion for empowering individuals and promoting their independence and inclusion
* Able to work well as part of a diverse team
* A current and unrestricted NSW driver's licence
* Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
* Unrestricted right to work in Australia
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
* Flexibility with your availability for shifts on a 24/7 roster (including sleepover shifts).
