Bellarine Community Health are now recruiting for a full time, ongoing Paediatric Occupational Therapist. This position is open to either Early Career (Grade 1) clinicians OR more experienced clinicians (Grade 2). Join a dynamic, collaborative, and friendly multidisciplinary children's team to make a difference in the lives of children and their families on the beautiful Bellarine Peninsula. About the team

The Child Health and Development team provide a multidisciplinary allied health service for children and young people primarily aged 0-12 years. It is comprised of a dynamic, collaborative and friendly team of occupational therapists, speech pathologists, a physiotherapist, mental health professionals, and a child and family engagement practitioner. Children are supported by several other services within BCH, including dental, continence, nutrition and dietetics, podiatry, physiotherapy, and mental health professionals/Headspace.

About the role
* Work with children and young people typically aged 0-12 years and their families.
* Provide high quality occupational therapy services to those who experience developmental delays, difficulties and/or disability.
* Work within a multidiscipline team environment.
* Complete assessment, therapy via 1:1 or group, and relevant support.
* Managing a caseload of both community health funded and NDIS clients.
* Practice in a wholistic, child and family centred, neuro-diverse affirming, and strength-based manner.
* Work in clinic, early childhood, schools, virtually, and in home environments.
* Participating in and have a commitment to all clinical governance activities.
* Supervising students, early career clinicians (Grade 2 only), and allied health assistants or volunteers (as required).
To be successful you will require:
* Tertiary qualification in occupational therapy, and registration with AHPRA.
* Clinical skills and demonstrated high level clinical problem solving in paediatric occupational therapy.
* A passion to work with children and families.
* Demonstrated capacity to practice in a collaborative, strength based, neurodiverse affirming, family and child centred model.
* High level and effective interpersonal skills, including teamwork, leadership, communication, and the ability to adapt and be flexible.
* Strong organisational and time management skills, efficient and effective work practices including the ability to manage a busy caseload, meet deadlines, prioritise, and respond to change.
* Be willing to learn and be committed to providing excellent care through commitment to professional development by maintaining, applying, and sharing clinical knowledge.
