English Language Partners is a not-for-profit, award-winning education provider with NZQA category 1 endorsement, that has been providing English language programmes and settlement services to adult migrants and former refugees throughout New Zealand for over 40 years.
With 21 centres spanning from Whangārei to Invercargill, our dedicated team of 380 staff and 850 volunteers annually support over 8,000 learners. We are passionate about supporting former refugees and migrants participate successfully in all aspects of life in Aotearoa New Zealand and we are looking for your help to achieve this.
Who you are
You are a strategic and operational leader with deep expertise in finance and business services. A CAANZ-registered Chartered Accountant, you bring at least 10 years' experience in senior finance roles and a strong understanding of the not-for-profit sector.
You're passionate about enabling impact through sound financial management, ICT innovation, and robust risk and property oversight. You thrive in collaborative environments, enjoy mentoring high-performing teams, and are known for your integrity, analytical thinking, and ability to lead through complexity.
What you'll be doing
* Provide strategic financial direction and long-term planning to support organisational sustainability
* Lead finance operations, budgeting, forecasting, and investment strategies
* Oversee ICT, property, procurement, and risk management functions
* Deliver accurate and insightful financial reporting to support decision-making
* Support income generation and funding diversification
* Lead compliance, audit, and governance reporting
* Contribute to Strategy 2030 as a member of the Senior Management Team
Is this you?
* CAANZ-registered Chartered Accountant with 10+ years in senior finance roles
* Proven leadership in finance, ICT, property, and risk management
* Strong understanding of NZQA, TEC, MoE, and Charities Services compliance
* Advanced ICT and data analytics skills, including cloud-based finance systems
* Experience leading high-performing teams and contributing to executive strategy
* Culturally competent, resilient, and collaborative
