Monash University Publishing is looking for a motivated, creative and highly organised Senior Marketing and Publicity Coordinator to elevate our titles, amplify our authors and strengthen our brand on a global stage.
Working directly with the Director and senior leadership, you will be the driving force in how our books reach readers. This is a rare opportunity to blend creative publicity, digital strategy and event management.
What You'll Do

* Own the Digital Space: Lead content creation, social media strategy and web analytics to drive engagement, expand our customer base and convert interest into sales.
* Stage Unforgettable Events: Plan and deliver a high-quality program of book launches, panel discussions and public events.
* Build Communities: Foster strong, collaborative relationships with authors, media contacts, internal university stakeholders and external partners.
* Lead and Mentor: Champion an inclusive, high-performing culture, which may involve supervising enthusiastic junior staff, interns and freelance contractors.
Who You Are
You are a motivated, capable and collaborative professional who thrives at the intersection of creativity and data. You know how to seamlessly pivot your tone from an academic audience to a broad trade readership, and you pride yourself on your flawless communication skills. You are collaborative with colleagues and senior leadership to achieve strategic objectives, and you enjoy working in a small, busy team of friendly and committed colleagues.
Your Background
* The Credentials: A tertiary degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field with extensive experience, or an equivalent combination of formidable industry experience and training.
* The Track Record: Proven success in coordinating publicity and marketing campaigns, ideally within publishing, media or the cultural sector.
* Digital Savvy: Deep practical knowledge of managing digital platforms, executing social media campaigns, and analysing data to measure what works.
