GHD's Mobility Solutions team in South Queensland is growing, and we are seeking a Traffic Engineer / Modeller to join our high‐performing team.

Responsibilities
* Multi‐disciplinary city‐shaping transport projects
* Managing and delivering a range of traffic and transport engineering projects and tasks
* Preparing high‐quality technical work, reports and proposals for our clients
* Collaborating with your team as well as colleagues across the region and business
* The continual development of both GHD's and your own transport engineering capability working with the team to collaboratively identify innovative solutions for our clients
* Mentoring and coaching of junior team members
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with demonstrated experience in traffic engineering, typically 6+ years and working towards chartership. RPEQ accreditation is an advantage.
* Proven experience in delivering traffic and transport engineering projects and strong technical knowledge of relevant design practices, guidelines and standards and their application.
* Demonstrated experience in developing Traffic Impact Assessments for complex developments, masterplans in accordance with the Guide to Traffic Impact Assessments by the Department of Transport and Main Roads.
* Knowledge of transport modelling software packages such as SIDRA (essential), Vissim and Aimsun and its interface with traffic engineering.
* Road Safety Audit experience and/or accreditation an advantage.
* Knowledge of road and transport infrastructure design, traffic operations, network performance, signal design and road safety principles, including Safe System Assessments.
* Excellent written and verbal skills, including experience in technical reporting, proposal writing and preparation.
* A strong team focus that ensures communication and collaboration with the team.
* Ability to manage small‐to‐medium scale projects is desirable.
