About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a new graduate or experienced optometrist to join our Mackay OPSM team. The role is located in Mackay, a vibrant regional city with access to national parks, the Great Barrier Reef, and the Whitsunday Islands.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including refraction, visual acuity, and ocular health examinations.
* Use advanced diagnostic equipment such as an OCT with biometry, Optos Daytona, auto refractor, pachymeter, cataract retro‑illumination, topography, I‑care tonometer, and visual field analyzer.
* Provide 30‑minute face‑to‑face patient consultations following initial pre‑testing by the retail team.
* Collaborate with other optometrists and support staff to deliver high‑quality eye care.
* Participate in OneSight outreach initiatives to increase access to eye care in the community.
Qualifications
New graduate or experienced optometrist with a special interest in ocular pathology or contact lenses. Possession of an optometry degree, registration, and relevant clinical experience.
