Our mental health service comprises 63 beds, configured into four distinct units: a 20-bed (including 4-bed HDU & 16-bed GA) general adult acute mental health unit (Ward 3C), a 6-bed short-stay unit (MHSSU), a 15-bed older persons' unit (Ward 3D), and a 22-bed private ward (The Northern Beaches Clinic – Ward 3B), providing a range of specialised care options for our patients.
Our mental health service operates within a trauma‑informed care approach and the recovery model, providing high‑quality care to patients with various mental health conditions. As a Registered Nurse
* Establish and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds and cultures
* Provide exceptional customer service and person‑centred and evidence‑based care
* Provide supervision and preceptorship to Enrolled Nurses, Graduates and Students, AINs/PSAs
* Effectively work within scope of practice, and demonstrate clinical competencies
* Provide comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, implementation and evaluation of outcomes including recognition and timely response to patient deterioration
* Work as a valued member of an inter‑disciplinary team, manage own worktime and personal well‑being
Essential Criteria
* Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
* Current registration as a Nurse with AHPRA

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives' – Enterprise Agreement 2020 – 2024, a salary of (up to, depending on years' experience) of $49.79 per hour plus loading.
