Senior Analyst – Commercial
AFG is seeking a Senior Analyst – Commercial to play a pivotal role in driving growth and profitability through advanced commercial analysis, enterprise‐wide optimisation and market intelligence to enable data‐driven strategic decision‐making.
In this hands‐on role, you will partner with senior leaders across the Group to enhance commercial arrangements and shape the performance of AFG's lending and broker services portfolio. This is an opportunity to shape AFG's commercial success in our chosen markets.
Key Responsibilities
* Review and optimise lender agreements, support market entry strategies across the AFG Group to optimise commercial outcomes.
* Identify and assess new business development opportunities, including revenue growth and cost optimisation initiatives.
* Deliver high‐quality commercial insights, financial modelling and recommendations to senior leadership.
* Design and maintain dashboards and recurring performance reporting across AFG segments.
* Evaluate portfolio mix and performance to identify margin improvement, pricing and capital optimisation opportunities.
* Build scenario‐based financial models to assess investments, pricing strategies and operational improvements.
* Design and maintain pricing models and tools for dynamic pricing, unit cost analysis and customer retention.
* Partner with key stakeholders to ensure commercial initiatives are executable.
* Prepare executive‐level analysis and reporting, including ad‐hoc requests for senior leaders.
About You
* You are a commercially astute analyst with strong financial modelling capability and experience operating in complex financial services environments. You enjoy working with senior stakeholders and translating data into clear, actionable insights.
* A degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics or a related field (MBA desirable).
* 5+ years' experience in commercial or analytical roles within financial services (non‐bank or lending experience highly regarded).
* Demonstrated expertise in financial modelling, pricing analysis and commercial evaluation.
* Experience designing or working within enterprise pricing frameworks.
* Strong understanding of Australian mortgage and/or asset finance markets.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
* A proactive, detail‐oriented and results‐driven mindset.
