Engine Field Service Technician
Job Description:
* We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team specializing in engine repairs for our service segment.
* The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and completing less complex repairs to engines at the customer's site.
* They will engage customers in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring prompt and efficient attention to their needs.
* The technician will use specialized tools and follow documented procedures to diagnose and complete repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools.
* Preventative maintenance activities will also be performed as per documented schedules and standards on engines and related components in the field.
* Escalated issues will be referred to more experienced Field Service Technicians and/or supervisors.
* The successful candidate will maintain accurate records, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, and quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
* Additional service opportunities will be identified with customers, and training will be completed in line with skill and business requirements.
* The technician will ensure that service vehicles and tools are maintained for cleanliness and proper operation.
* Adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and legislation is mandatory, and any issues/incidents must be reported to site management and supervisor.
Requirements:
* Australian recognized trade certificate (heavy or light vehicle)
* Apprentice-trained engine technician (preferred)
* Experience as a technician in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products
* Ideal candidates possess engine rebuild and reconditioning experience or knowledge
* Hitachi, Komatsu & Liebherr experience highly desirable
* Solid diagnostic capabilities with the help of systems on computers
* Cummins engine experience preferred
* Ability to work in a team environment and autonomously
* Mining experience preferred
* Positive attitude with good work ethic
* Competent with Insite, and computer savvy
* Good communication and understanding of safety
