Reporting to and assisting a Senior Legal Officer and Principal Legal Officer, the Legal Officer role is varied and may include administrative law and statutory interpretation, judicial review matters, anti-discrimination matters, commercial contracts and agreements, operational practices and procedures, personal injury matters, litigation and preparation of associated documentation and submissions and coronial investigations and inquests.
**In this role you will**:
Litigation (including in the High Court and Supreme Court), high level strategic legal advice, legislative development and commercial work are just some of the types of matters handled by the Command. The work is intellectually stimulating and highly rewarding. While the work is varied and there is opportunity to practice in multiple areas of the law, applicants with a commercial law background or a willingness to learn commercial law are strongly encouraged to apply.
