Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to perform key finance functions. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining financial objectives, ensuring timely completion of month-end and quarter-end close processes, reviewing statutory financial statements, and supporting annual budgeting and forecasting.
* Maintain financial objectives: ensure month-end and quarter-end close processes are completed in a timely manner, including consolidation and financial reports.
* Review statutory financial statements in accordance with AASB and IFRS.
* Ensure GL accounts are reconciled monthly.
* Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process.
You will also be responsible for compliance and audit, team and business partnering, and systems processes and project support.
* Compliance & Audit: ensure timely and accurate submission of APRA and ASIC regulatory reports, complete other statutory reports, manage group and local tax reporting, and coordinate annual audit processes.
* Team & Business Partnering: coordinate and liaise with regional offices and head office on various financial matters, communicate relevant financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders, and provide guidance to junior finance staff.
* Systems Processes and Project Support: contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and practices, assist the head of finance on ad-hoc projects, and support strategic initiatives.
To be successful in this role, you will require a university degree, qualified CA/CPA, 5-8 years of experience in statutory accounting and local taxation regulation, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, self-motivation, positive teamwork, and excellent communication skills.
